While implementing specific mitigation measures to protect the environment during the instream work, CKB completed the removal of the concrete outfall piping and flared ends and installed new piping and end walls. Deep well dewatering was completed to install the new Oil and Grit Separator required to capture sediment and oil. Existing sinkholes were remediated and the new outfalls were completed with the installation of rip rap and other erosion protection materials, chain-link fence, and landscaping.
